Analysis of CSN2 Exon 7 gene diversity and its association with Sapera goat milk composition

Sapera goats, a crossbreed between Saanen and Etawa Grade are known for their milk pro-duction adaptability to the Indonesian climate. Genetic selection is necessary improve Sa-pera goat's quality quantity. CSN2 gene one of genes that can affect composition goat milk. Therefore, this study aimed identify mutation points (SNPs) at exon 7 its association with composition. This used sixty-six blood sam-ples goats collected from Livestock Research Center, Ciawi. found two muta-tion g.8946C>T g.8956G>A. The analysis showed SNP was significantly associated lactose salt content In con-clusion, be as genetic marker high content.
